With the final major of the season underway, now is a great time to reflect and even make some predictions! Team Titleist have had one of their best seasons ever, with three out of three major winners using their golf equipment from driver to putter, in Jordan Spieth and Zach Johnson.
Titleist have also won every tournament ball count there is to win on tour. Could this be the climax of possibly the 'best manufacturers year in golf' ever? My suspicion is that Jordan may very well win again with his Titleist equipment and ball. If he does then he has only been one shot away from lifting all four majors in the one season. Wouldn't that be a remarkable story, and also highlight how it's such an amazing game we play with very very small margins?
This is something that should keep us all energised and motivated to do better and have more fun playing the game we all love. Click here to see what is in Jordan's bag.
Weekly Raffle
George Gray was the most recent winner in our weekly raffle.
Here he can be seen picking up his Titleist Pro V1 balls from it. George says it's the first time he has won a raffle. Well done George!

Honorary President
Members will be aware that Pete Williamson, our Honorary President, has put forward his wish to resign on health grounds.
The Committee unanimously approved the nomination of Miss Lorna Bennett to the position of Honorary President of the Club, and I am delighted to say that she has accepted the invitation.
Lorna has been an outstanding golfer for many years, representing Ladybank Golf Club with great distinction, locally, nationally and internationally. She was elected an Honorary Member in 2009 and is also an experienced golf administrator and referee and her wisdom will be a great asset to us in years ahead. A formal nomination will be brought before the Members at next year's AGM.
Dress Code
The Committee has recommended a trial relaxation of dress code by allowing smart denims in all areas of the Clubhouse. This reflects the fact that this form of attire has long been recognised as acceptable smart, casual clothing for many. This relaxation will not extend to denims on the course or on practice areas.
All Members and Visitors are asked to make every effort to ensure that they dress appropriately and adhere to the above policy. It is hoped that a less prescriptive approach to dress and goodwill and common sense on all sides will mean that we will require a minimum level of enforcement except for the most obvious breaches.
The success or otherwise of this action will be assessed at the end of this current golf season.
