It was great to see a fully booked Club MOT day last Saturday.

Many members benefitted from the experience with almost everyone needing some slight alteration to encourage a better more repeatable ball flight. Some of the required alterations included.

Change of lie angle, increase in loft angle, lighter shafts, easier to use head type, better set make up, thinner grips and shorter shafts.

It just goes to show how important correct fitting is when it comes to your clubs and especially your irons.

After trying to arrange the knockout cup match on four separate occasions, it was eventually played. The result of the match was a win by 3 games to 1.

The team now progress to the semi final with a home match against Crail. The scores were as follows:

Match 1 - Stewart Eldridge & Dugald MacGregor won 2 up
Match 2 - Steve Hutcheon & Ryan Spence lost 2 down
Match 3 - Gordon Wilson & Brian McSkimming won 3 and 2
Match 4 - Craig Mathie & David Payne won 4 and 3

Scratch winter league

The result was a resounding 3-1 win for our Ladybank team vs St Andrews New club, which included Garry Hay, a former Walker Cup player and past Scottish International James Bunch playing off a plus 3 handicap. Great result guys and keep up the good work.

Well done to all who took part on a tough playing surface with the frost coming out of the ground. A special mention must go to David Payne who was one under par gross through 10 holes. Some great golf was clearly on show with the scoring below.

Spring Coaching Offer

How? 

Lesson one

Rather than try to change too much in your swing we will work hard on getting your pre swing position (set up) to match up better with how your swing operates. With a good understanding of this simple way to improve, you will be on your way very quickly to better results.

Lesson two

Will simply be there to reinforce the first session and push you on a little if you have already made the necessary changes. 

What you need to do - simply take two 30 minute lessons, roughly 3-4 weeks apart with a small amount of practice in between.

Cost - £50 (save £10 on normal price). Lessons must be completed by 31st May. Lessons to be taken 3-4 weeks apart. This offer is valid until 15th April.
