I`d like to pass on my sincere thanks to our members for making my life as straight forward as possible this last few days since opening back up. As you can appreciate things have been very difficult with rules changing to accommodate your needs and allow more access to the golf course after the initial unknown. This has been tough for Martin and myself along with committee members and volunteers who have really stepped up to the mark in our time of need. Especially given the fact that many of the staff are in and out of furlough at the club including several green staff and the office staff, along with the bar staff. So everyone knuckling down and working hard has been essential to see us through this first almost two weeks now would you believe. With a very limited staff team at the moment your patience is so appreciated, thank you. I hope you are enjoying being back at the club and seeing the new bunkers etc? The numbers of golfers playing and repeat visits would indicate this is the case. It really is so good to be back and to see everyone again and hopefully, as the days and weeks go on we will get back to even more normal activities like competitions and such like. I`m taking a tentative step towards normality by starting to coach again come next week (see below) assuming the First Minister has some good news for us next week. Things are so fast-moving at the moment it’s been difficult to draw breath and look further than a day or two ahead. However please bear with us as we try to do everything we possibly can to enhance your enjoyment of the club as much as we possibly can given the circumstances and restrictions placed upon us.
