We also know that we will get through this and come out of the other end. We are in a fortunate position that Ladybank is a club that is aspirational to many and in high demand from visitor golfers from all around the globe. That is why we will still be here when unfortunately some other clubs may not get through this nightmare.

These are hugely testing times for everyone and unprecedented in our life times. It’s now so important that each and everyone of us show solidarity and support one another and the club itself. If we pull together we are stronger as a group and that is the big benefit of being involved in a club.

If anyone is having a really, really hard time I urge you to call another member who you play golf with who you feel you can chat to and who by simply listening and passing on some good advice can share the burden and even provide a solution to a problem. We have many members with great experience and many skill sets. As I mentioned these are unprecedented times and we need to look out for each other. A problem shared is a problem halved. Everyone will have mental health challenges in the coming days and weeks and the support of others can mean a lot so don`t be stubborn and pick up the phone to your golfing chums if you're struggling at all.

Regards the golf course - Colin and the team are carrying out essential maintenance work as per government directives. They are working in small teams to ensure no spread of any virus to the team if someone becomes infected. Thankfully this means on our return to golf, the course will be looking good and ready to go straight away.

Regards Martin, Pam and Alison in the office, they are all currently working from home as we are getting a huge amount of correspondence at this time and they are getting through it though I`m told.

Regards YOUR golf. My plan from next week is to help any of you who email in with your `golfing set-up` as a starter. If you can email pictures like the three below and let me know your current shot pattern and what your bad shot is I’ll pass on some simple advice. Email me these pictures and small bit of text from Monday next week and I’ll get on the case for you FREE of charge to our members. Just simply take the pictures from your garden - nothing fancy required. Have whoever takes the pictures point the camera in the general direction your aiming for the down the line picture.
