News From The Course

The course has been in great shape over the last couple of months and we have been getting some fantastic feedback from members and visitors, particularly with regards the condition of the greens. We have also had the latest report back from the STRI, and again they were very complimentary about Ladybank.

With the main competitive season now finished, we turn our attention to preparing the course for the winter months, with the prime objective over the next few weeks being getting our autumn maintenance of greens completed and strengthening the sward as temperatures drop and growth levels subside.

Autumn Greens Maintenance

Greenstaff would like to remind members that our autumn greens maintenance will commence on Monday 14th October.

This will be following the same approach as previous seasons where we will apply a heavy top dressing, aerate with 13mm solid tines, brush in multiple directions to force the sand into tine holes, then a tidy up and roll before the green is back in play. When a green is being worked on we will utilise the temporary green to ensure staff safety and not to affect progress.

We aim to have all greens completed by Wednesday but this is weather dependant.

Thank you for your understanding during this period of vital maintenance.

Preferred Lies & White Tees

Preferred lies are in operation from Monday 14th October until further notice.

General Play from the White Tees will also finish the week commencing Monday 14th October for the Winter Period.

There are notices posted around the club relating to the local rules concerning preferred lies and temporary greens.
