In this week's email, we take a closer look at product that's currently sitting on the shelves in-store, our video of the week is something that you have probably never seen before, whilst we also shed some light on the latest news from the club. Titleist Ambassadors day

This week I was at a Titleist Ambassadors day at The Carrick Loch Lomond. What a fantastic line up of 718 irons - 5 new models and 818 rescues - 2 models, they have for us over the next two years.

AP1s are truly rocket launchers with great feel so if your looking for some distance I will be fitting these from the end of next week, along with all the other models.

AP2 forged as ever are amazing and the all new AP3 delivers both distance and forgiveness with a classic look. The new AP3 is the second longest iron in the range after the AP1 but with the look of an AP2 in appearance albeit with a bit more offset. The new TMB irons are truly out of this world in look with 90 grams of Tungsten in every iron. This really does help the distance aspect with such an excellent looking club. CB and MB models continue for the excellent ball strikers amoung you. These have also had a slight tweak with the CB especially becoming easier to use but still with a classic look and longer blade length.

There are several shaft options available all at no extra up charge along with the Tour velvet 360 grips fitted as standard, but with other options available.

PING feedback

Thanks to everyone who attended our PING demo day and made it such a good event. It was a great turnout by our members with a really positive reaction to the new G400 product especially. PING are now running at a ten working day turnaround on clubs as a result of the huge successes they have had with the G400 range. Hopefully some of our members see the benefits of that shortly out on the golf course.

LCL matches update

On Sunday the club hosted Lundin Golf Club for the third match of the season.

With one win and one loss the defence of the trophy was still very much in our hands.

The match ended up in a 3-3 draw so all is not lost however a win is a must in our final match away to Crail on 17th Sept.

A huge thanks to all that played.

One of the best of the season

Congratulations to Bill Sinclair on a fantastic nett 63 playing from a 17 handicap in the gents mid week medal. Bill is now down to a 14 handicap with one of the best scores of the season. It looks like the recently fitted Titleist clubs are paying dividends!! Well done Bill.
