Invitation day On Sunday, 13 August, 39 ladies and their guests enjoyed playing a greensomes competition in the Ladies Invitation Day. Thanks go to the greenkeeping staff for the course being in such good condition. The ladies then enjoyed a meal where there was much chatter and laughter, thanks again to all involved in the Clubhouse. The afternoon ended with the prize giving, worthy winners were Shona Peebles and her partner Jennifer Simpson from Kinross. Congratulations to both.
Exchange day The Ladies section exchanged with Dunfermline Golf Club this year and our guests thoroughly enjoyed a beautiful sunny day at Ladybank on Friday, 28 July. They complimented the condition of the course, the helpfulness of the Pro staff and the excellent catering. The Ladybank Ladies enjoyed a less sunny day at Dunfermline’s Pitfirrane on Friday, 11 August, with a couple of very light showers but this did not detract from the enjoyment of the day. The course was in great condition and all the ladies were in great form both on and off the course. There were a wide variety of prizes, some more desirable than others but the novelty ones were accepted with good spirit! The winners of the Tri-Am with a player short were ‘The Fairway Flukes’ Sheila Johnston & Fiona Doig Runners Up ‘The Green Goddesses’ Marion Campbell, Shona Peebles & Jane Beaton Longest Drive – Silver – Elsie Hutcheon, Bronze – Shona Peebles
Nearest the pin – Bronze – Sandra Forbes Silver proved to be too challenging so the prize was awarded to the ‘shot of the day’ which was an eagle on 12th – Elsie Hutcheon.
