Red Squirrel Alert
A baby red squirrel set an interesting start to our Ladies Open, by running around the clubhouse while trying to get in the fire escape door. Heres a great photo captured by Joan Prentice Ladies Captain. Please see a report of the Open by our ladies Captain
Ladies Open 2014
A great day was had on Saturday at the Ladies Open. We had a good turnout with 98 ladies playing. The sun shone for most of the time with only one short shower. Everyone was very complementary about the course, whether they played well or not so good!! Ladybank Ladies had a clean sweep winning all 4 trophies and Elsie Hutcheon being the overall winner with a net 69. Elsie also had a hole-in-one at the 10th, a day Elsie will not forget in a hurry.
Many thanks to Colin and his green staff, Cath and her bar staff and Keith and his team, both kept us fed and watered throughout the day. Sandy and his team and last but no means least to Fiona in the office for all her help in the admin side.

The 2 finalists in the mens championship both had new sets of irons in the bag. Both of which were custom fitted! This shows the importance of club fitting and how it can lead to longer, straighter and more consistent shots.
After his recent fitting and new clubs going in the bag vice captain Bobby Robertson can see a big difference in the distance and accuracy he is getting, gaining 10 yards plus per iron.
For anyone looking to gain consitency as well as distance and accuracy, please contact us and click here for details on custom fitting at St Andrews for Callaway products and Kingsacre, Edinburgh for Titleist products.
