Scratch Open report
The Scratch Open was played out in good conditions Sunday past. The eventual winner was Alan Sutherland who won with a total of 143. Well done to Alan. Another notable Ladybank mention is for Darren Gould who had the best PM round with a scratch 69.

Make more of the Par 5s
The BMW Championship at Wentworth provided a valuable lesson regards how to get a score around a golf course. Rory McIlroy finished with a grand total of -14 (274) for the week winning the event. What is less surprising is the fact that he was (-15) for the par 5 holes. Anyone who wants to make a good score around any course should really design a game plan for these holes to ensure they make the most of them. A good strategy on these holes will ensure that your scores come down guarunteed.
