With all the festivities out the way I'm sure like me, many of you can't wait to get back into a routine again as we start this year off. Golf was certainly something that featured highly in my new year resolutions list. Whilst running a seasonal business and playing the game we all love is a real balancing act for me, I'm determined to get the sticks out more often this year as I'm sure many of you are also. So let's all make an effort to play more golf as the benefits far out weigh any downsides.
This really got me thinking about why I should play more golf. So I came up with the following.
Here are my 5 top reasons to play more golf in 2017. What are yours? Please click here to send me your top 5 so I can improve or lengthen my list.
1) It's great for your health, fitness and well being, with young and old able to play together
2) It keeps us all humble and grounded and promotes good manners and etiquette
3) At one with nature in the outdoors
4) A challenge against the course or an opponent
5) Great fun playing with friends and meeting new people
As ever we are always looking to actively involve our members in our newsletters. A picture and a paragraph is all we need to bring the weekly newsletter to life and keep everyone informed about what's going on at the club. So don't be shy in sending in any information on a golfing achievement or even a funny golfing tale if your willing to share it. Really please send in anything golf related to my email address sandy.smith@foremostgolf.com or visit my website for the contact details. We will be delighted to share it.
Prior to the Christmas holidays Eric Stark managed a hole in one on the 8th hole with a 5 wood. Well done to Eric.
