Welcome to the latest edition of our weekly newsletter. In this week's email, our Video of the Week sees England, France and South Africa attempt to break a golfing World Record, plus lots of information on product in-store and our special offers in the lead up to Christmas. Enjoy the read.

How good are the Titleist T-MB irons?

Member Jim (James) Duncan who plays off a category 1 handicap and was fighting to get 150 yards plus with his 714 MB 7 iron with Dynamic Gold stiff shafts put them to the test. Initial results below.

Then we tried a lighter shaft (Nippon 880 AMC stiff shaft at 95 grams) than his current Dynamic Gold stiff shafts (126 grams) in essentially the same bladed head. There really wasn't very much difference between the older 714 MB head and the Nippon shaft with the new bladed head - Perhaps a yard or two at best.

Then we introduced the all new Titleist T-MB head onto the Nippon shaft.

What came next absolutely shocked me I have to say. Jim was averaging around 15 yards more carry and total distance with the T-MB head. Quite amazing for someone as consistent as Jim is (highlighted by our screen shots on FlightScope) both Jim's consistency and the increase in distance are quite apparent and go to show that the clubhead is absolutely key to meaningful distance gains.

Foremost Annual Conference event

This week I have been away at the Foremost Golf Conference in Milton Keynes. It was a fantastic learning week and really helps to push us all on to do a better job at our respective clubs. I'm hopeful you as members will all see some more improvements in the Pro Shop soon in several different areas.

I was learning more about staff development, fitting, merchandising, customer needs, SOP and best practices etc. The winter is always a good time for us to put these into practice. Hopefully they will all help to improve your enjoyment of our Pro Shop experience within the club.

Glenmuir & Sunderland evening

Then on Tuesday, 28 November we will have a great chance for all our men, lady and senior members to view the Glenmuir and Sunderland ranges in full with a view to buying any Christmas presents from us. The ranges are vast and delivery guaranteed within 5 working days for any orders placed on the afternoon/evening.

The event timings are between 4pm and 7.30pm in the clubhouse (Annsmuir room), a great opportunity to get exactly what you want for a Christmas. Crested or uncrested garments are available in a range of colours, styles and sizes to suit all.

The handicap winter league team played a home fixture on Sunday, 12 November against Leven Golfing Society.

The result was a 3-1 win for Ladybank.
