Many of you will now have managed to have a good look around the new website. One really useful area on the new website is the Course Status section which will update you as to course opening/closing/updates etc.

Well and I hate to say the word in early November, but with Christmas approaching, it's time for me to do a bit of a sales pitch... 

This Christmas we are stocking up in the shop more than we have done for several seasons with the hope of some good weather and many members popping in for some pressies. We will also be offering a wrapping service from this weekend right through until the big day itself. 

With new arrivals due in this weekend of Under Armour and FootJoy gents clothing along with some FootJoy outerwear for the ladies. We will also have a brand new Kids section in the shop with Under Armour and FootJoy clothing for our junior golfers. 

We are very excited in the Pro Shop to have a more extensive range than previously at this time of the season and hope you will all get behind us. Plus don't forget that we offer our great multi-buy discounts on everything from socks to clothing. 

If it's gift vouchers you are after for a loved one then we have this as well starting at just £10 . Please pop in and say hello even if the clubs are taking a rest at the moment. 


 

Seniors Annual Dinner & Prizegiving

This year's Seniors Annual Dinner and Prizegiving was held last Friday in the Clubhouse and was attended by 65 members and their partners. Our guest speaker was David Maiden the Captain of Crail Golfing Society. 

David's entertaining and humorous presentation was very well received by our members and their guests. The Seniors Section would wish to thank our caterer Keith and his staff for an excellent meal and the bar staff who looked after us so well.

Hole in One 

Congratulations to Andy Shankley (pictured below) on his hole in one on the eighth hole playing with the seniors section.

Handicap Winter League 

The handicap winter league team played on Sunday, 6 November at Scotscraig in a knockout cup match. Ladybank were defeated by 3.5 to 0.5. The results were: 

Gordon Wilson & Ian McCartney - Match halved 
Fergus Johnstone & Duncan Glass - Lost 1 down 
Colin Bennett & Gordon Mathie - Lost 3&2 
Steve Hutcheon & Scott Barbour - Lost 4&2
