Ladybank Ladies 9 holers - Outing to Drumoig Par 3 Course - Monday, 29 August
On a wonderfully sunny day, 15 Ladies met for coffee and scones at the Drumoig Hotel. Kevin from the Driving Range came with the cards and draw that he had done, he also worked out the results!
The Stableford competition was over the new Par 3 Course which proved very tricky for most of us! Two of our company were only there socially so we had thirteen golfers teeing off.
The results were:
1st - Elsie Chalmers with 27 points 2nd - Christine Anderson with 26 points 3rd - Edith Paterson with 25 points
Nearest the pin winner- Christine Anderson Longest Drive - Nancy Hay.
Back to the Hotel for an enjoyable lunch.
Our thanks go to Linda McDonald, Mary Robertson, Janice McHugh and Sandy Smith for donating prizes.

Match & Handicap News
Ellis Rosebowl & Tankards
Now that the September medal has passed the full list of qualifiers are known for the above competition and the draw has been published on the website. Members who haven't qualified can play in the sweep but cannot win either the Rosebowl or the Tankards. Qualifiers must play at their allocated time or forfeit the opportunity to win either of the trophies. Good luck to all the qualifiers on the day.
LCL match v Lundie
On Sunday the LCL team made the trip to Lundie to play match number three. With two wins out of two confidence was high, however Lundie used home advantage to the full and ran out convincing winners. The final match is away to Crail on 18th and a win should secure the trophy. A big thanks to all the players who turned out.
Montrose Merchantile match
This Sunday sees the club host the annual match against the Merchantile which has been a tradition within the club for a number of years. Disappointingly we have had to reduce the team numbers from 20 to 16 due to a lack of interest. Events such as these are pivotal in maintaining good relationships with other clubs and this one is a big part of the clubs history. The M&H team are always interested in members views about ways to entice a healthier turnout so feel free to come forward. Nevertheless we're sure the 16 representing the club on Sunday will enjoy the day.
Midweek Medals
The midweek medals have now ended for the season as the darker nights are upon us. They have been a success again this season with an average of 50+ players most weeks.
Lapsed handicaps
We still have a number of members who have let their handicaps lapse due to not posting 3 counting cards throughout the season. It might be a good idea for any member who is in a similar position this year to try and get out before the end of October to avoid losing their congu competition status.
